Adolescence Female Advocacy Network
LifeMatters recognizes the unique needs of adult and adolescent females requiring mental health and physical health care services by providing a progressive outpatient setting that meets the. special needs of this population. We have incorporated recommendations of current research and experience in order to create an atmosphere in which young women are receiving the best quality service and practice.

The mission of LifeMatters is to provide holistic health services to encourage clients to develop and realize their potential. LifeMatters has both female and male therapists as well as Spanish speaking therapists available. A Family Nurse Practitioner/APRN in onsite and provides comprehensive health care to clients using a holistic approach. Life Matters is located in a central and convenient location that creates a safe and family friendly environment.

Women who receive treatment at our outpatient center will receive a comprehensive evaluation which includes a collaborative assessment from both a mental health therapist and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Each young woman will be assigned a therapist with whom she may discuss her history and contributing factors. Psychotherapy in the form of individual, family, and group is additionally provided with regard to the following co-morbid factors: victims of sexual abuse, problem sexual behaviors, delinquency/criminal behaviors, physical abuse and neglect, attachment problems, exposure to domestic violence, substance abuse, cultural issues, and problems with sexual identity. Initial psychiatric and medical evaluations will be provided as well as ongoing health care and medical management by the APRN. The length of treatment will be determined through collaboration of the client, therapist, APRN, and other important professionals for family members.
